S7 - Episode "Species Jump" .... effin' brilliant

Just finished the latest episode of Homeland.
So much is going on, and so unexpected. What incredible writing.
This show just gets better.

Are you being sarcastic? You pretty much said this season sucked 2 weeks ago.

And opened multiple topics about how much the show sucks now, too.

I learned not to take "brux" seriously a long time ago.

Yup, just finished it and can honestly say IMHO it rates in the series Top 10, something I thought I'd never say again. I know the show has lost loads of fans due to some subpar seasons but, with only a few suspensions of disbelief moments marring it, this season is on track to be one of the best.

After this group produced 6 seasons of brilliance ... I had faith that this was going to be just as good or better. I have to admit though that I was fooled, I doubted and was thinking Homeland might just be over, but this new season is just as good or better because it is topical and relevant to all that is going on in the US that threatens our country - FOR REAL. There are some quibbles to be sure, but this is shaping up to be the best season yet. Wow, what a show.

agreed, once o'keefe's story was over the season improved.

Yes, thank heavens they ditched that baffoon. The storyline is much better now. This show does best creating stories inspired by real world situations. I can almost see the writers changing course to keep up with the fast changing news cycles. Early in the Trump presidency, the news focused on delving into the surprising election results - Trump base voters, Steve Bannon and Breitbart, then the Civil War statue marches. Then the Russian investigation started taking over.

Anyone think Beau Bridges is going to end up playing a Trump-like president? I can see the plot heading that way to oust President Keane and replace her with the Russian backed VP.
