What a boring, weird, let down of a movie

After they recapped the ending showing us what things were done, which was so predictable as to it being him, there were so many scenes that were pure luck to the plot.
The bike, there's no way Oliver would have known Felix was just going to be sitting there waiting on the side of the road like a damsel in distress. The bar tab. There would have been no way him being able to know of all the people drinking at the bar that Felix was going to be the one to pay the tab.
OK so he has siblings and parents that weren't junkies. How did that fit into the movie at all? Why did he need to run with that lie? Felix didn't need to hear that to befriend him. Oliver was still a weirdo.
Other than that at what point did he target Felix and his family and why?
Lastly, why did we need to see his weenie?

He completely misses what motivates Oliver - in fact he misses the fun of the whole story. He even complains about seeing his dick, like a prissy, uptight nun. No imagination or appreciation of storytelling.

I didn’t bother to explain Oliver’s motivation because the movie makes it obvious to all but the most dense. Oliver is pathologically jealous of those of wealth & position, & focuses on Felix because he’s attracted to him. He obsessively follows a plan to remove all obstacles to getting the Cattons’ money & lifestyle for himself. Are you “enlightened” now?

It was NOT predictable that he was the villain of the story. You're just pretending to be smart for figuring it out before the reveal.

He created a persona so the rich people would take pity on him.

Dancing naked in his new home represented freedom.

I agree with what you said except about the predictability. I didn’t even think it was meant to be a mystery until that embarrassing montage at the end.

It is a good movie, but yet another forgettable one. The "how he did it" ending was kinda lame and the whole story is not particularly believable, but it is interesting and the few offensive scenes are funny. Good acting. I especially enjoyed Alison Oliver's bathtub scene. She killed it.
