Well, it's over finale finito ... Any comments/discussion (SPOILERS)

I was not happy with the finale, but I figured I probably would not be since I have not been happy with the series. I put up with it because it has a lot of cool characters and a story arc that is kind of cool, but even going back to the Governor, or should that be The Governor I, he was just too weird and evil, and insane.

Does anyone thing people would be to stupid or easily intimidated by a government of thugs as in Woodbury.

They also killed off too many good characters too. I mean, Rosita - with a baby! And then Luke and his girlfriend too? No reason for that.

The speech Maggie gave to Negan was a pretty good scene.

Then also the tiny disjointed scenes at the end where they wedged in Michonne and Rick? False advertising. Was that even filmed recently, or dug up off the cutting room floor?

Still the variant walkers do not fit the series ... you can't just change the physics of a fantasy world on demand.

What do others think?

Then there is whatever we are going to see from a new series?

Some things i was wondering about (well, zombies seem physically impossible of course and it's entertaining, but given that zombies exist these things just bothered me a bit)

[- I think in first season of fear of walking dead or something just getting a little zombie blood in mouth or smth would turn them into a zombie slowly, while in later seasons of walking dead they slash and have blood spritzing everywhere all the on their faces, it doesn't matter, well i guess the later seasons were consistent

- finally in season 11 commonwealth soldiers are the first one to think to get some armor on..
i mean one little bite kills you 100%, and a little armor prevents that, becoming nearly 'bite proof' should be kind of easy when you are scavenging for years

- whisperers somehow seem to become 'invisible' to walkers just for wearing a mask, while normaly you have to cover your whole body in zombie blood

I don't remember this ever happening in either show. The closest we came was TWD season 1 "guts" where Rick warned them not to get it on them and they wore protective gear. That made sense from the character's standpoint, wanting to be cautious, but it doesn't speak to the in-universe reality of the situation. It was just character conjecture at the time.

This has been a contention since the very beginning. Any manner of protective gear would be effective. Denim, kevlar, cordura nylon, leather, and a wide range of other options. This discussion also goes much deeper to building and vehicle fortifications as well. In the end, most viewers just accepted that this show is not intended to be a "how to" of zombie survival, but a drama about human relationships. The rest was quickly overlooked.

Don't forget Michonne's zombie pet-on-a-leash trick. All she had to do was stand with her zombie pets and the walkers ignored her completely. It made little sense that it worked that way and less sense that they wouldn't just use pet walkers as normal everyday practice.

It came, it did its thing, and now its history.

Well, the show itself is now supposed to rise from the dead with new life ... uh, sequels.

I'm really glad I don't watch a series for 11 seasons, for the sole purpose of picking it apart and trashing it.
