They reveal that Lobo killed Aquaman and took his place, retroactively transforming Mamoa from horribly miscast to brilliantly cast.

You just put more thought into that story idea than Zack Snyder did for all of his DCEU films.

LOL. Now that you mention it, I can see that. He does look a lot like Lobo.

Momoa was definitely born to play Lobo.

Who would’ve been the best actor to play the role of Aquaman?

I think Momoa would have preferred to play Lobo aswell. Atleast he said he was surprised that Snyder hired him to play Aquaman and not a villain.
