1. Too many characters

2. Convoluted story

You can have one or the other, but not both.

The problem with this story was Naomi Rapace's character and her boyfriend not doing their homework while dragging a crew 1/2 a Billion miles away to a barren, hostile planet that ultimately lead to their grisly death.. Loved the FX though

You mean homework to predict sitting on Earth that the life creating Engineers changed their minds and made bio-weapons at that facility? You mean you wanted Noomi Rapace's character to be an Oracle?

Lmao.....it was a good film. The ones that hated it are jaded fans of the first Alien film. I have seen this same trend with just about every good continuation. The newest Blade Runner was actually better then the first film and all I heard was BITCHING.....The second Tron film...same thing. Better than the original and BITCHING......BLAH BLAH BLAH.....yet everyone is going on a about Barbie.... 😂

Any Alien movie I compare to Aliens. One of the greatest movies ever made. I think you are right. I did not care about any of the characters except maybe Shaw and David (and only a little bit). I also guess I missed how the humans figured out that the ship was going to Earth to destroy it.

I've watched it three times (I like the Science Fiction imagery) and I still don't know what the story is.

Because of the success of the first two Alien movies, they can make new movies that lack the fundamental greatness of their predecessors and get away with it. Not to say that the movie was horrible, but I completely agree with you.

That's a great way to say it! I bought the film, I guess for scifi visuals, but it's so forgettable.
I think they go to a planet and stuff happens. That's the story.
