In fact everything so far has looked great. Curry's performance will never be topped, but hopefully we will have a great surprise ahead. The 1990 film is due for a remake so I am looking forward to September. Hopefully it will keep some book elements missing from the TV mini-series (i.e., Jaws) but more importantly be an awesome, scary horror flick overall.

I know nothing about the source material. I never read the book or even saw the 1990 adaptation. But this has my interest and seems sufficiently creepy.
Having just seen the totally bland Ouija last night, It looks like a breath of fresh air.
I am one of those (rare?) people who never found original to be scary. This trailer for the new movie does look scary though.
shareThe kid parts are good and the photo album scene was good. But the scares seem to be jump scares. IT just splashing towards the camera or suddenly appearing in the sewer and then nothing. They're showing the clown in all the posters and set pictures and then they don't show him interacting in the trailer? He isn't Jason or Myers, or even Freddy It's more cunning and playful. I hope this isn't a jumpscare production.

On a side note, the only two kids that really stand out from the trailer are Ben and Michael. All of the others (including Beverly) seem interchangeable.
Hopefully the movie comes out okay. I plan on seeing it in theaters anyway, but it'd be nice to have a more faithful It adaptation.
Looks very good, but I hope Pennywise isn't just 100% scary like in the trailer. I hope there's some comedy as well.
shareWell, I'm not one of those rare people who finds the original... not scary. I mean, whenever someone says they never found Curry's Pennywise even remotely creepy as a kid, my only reaction is.... whaaaaaaaaat?!? :D
In any case, this trailer is impressive. As a matter of fact it's one of the best horror trailers I've seen in quite some time. I've always liked the idea of a big screen adaption of It, so I'm hoping this turns out good.
True. I never thought he would be any scarier than he was as Darkness in Legend until he portrayed Pennywise. And Darkness is awesomely horrifying.
