In a world without water and food, she is a warrior, why bother to shave armpit?

Fury Road is great movie, but this keeps bother me....

That is the weirdest part: a movie about feminism, yet the main character bend to patriarchy to shave her armpits.

I think Furiosia was a general of stature. She had access to amenities

The regular folk (the people who held their cups up to catch water in the citadel) probably had armpit hair

The problem wasn't whether she had access to amenities or not, the problem was she was a worrier, why bother to shave her armpit?
