Stepping back into their characters...

Carrie (SJP)....has done great. She picked-up her character nicely and is doing a believable job at portraying Carrie the way she’d be now, in her 50’s. K. Davis is doing a good job as well—as far as stepping back into her character. However, the writers are RUINING Miranda. Just ruining her.

reply

Why? Miranda is fine. Did you notice she is Carrie's go-to confidant now?

reply

They stepped back alright. It doesn't seem any of them matured in the past 20 years.

reply

Miranda was never a great character to begin with. Always the Debbie Downer of the group.

reply

But Miranda was always practical, self-assured and together. Now she doesn’t even seem like the same person.

As a side note: could the writers please stop having her say: “Finger me”. Thanks in advance.

And she’s an experienced corporate lawyer of 20+ years in NY turned into a bumbling idiot in her law for bozos 101 class.

Wouldn’t happen.

reply

The University scenes were BRUTAL. Cringe. Second hand embarrassment.

Like you said, 20+ years as a Corporate Lawyer in NYC, yet she appears to have been living under a rock.
