How are you not outraged?

So, I don't know what was worse about this movie - the fact that the "teacher" got away with treating everyone like garbage, the terrible things these children were exposed to, the corrupt teachers (all of them), or the fact that the drug abusing teacher gets away with everything in the end.

1. How was she not reported? She was a foul ***** to everyone - funny for the first 2 seconds, but got real old real fast.

2. The stuff this woman exposed those children to - her drug abuse, the movie watching instead of doing actually homework, and finally cheating in the end - she ruined everyone of those children.

3. Teachers smoking pot in the gym. Everyone of those people were trash. The only decent teacher is rewarded with - what's this? - she's framed for being a drug user! How funny! So funny I forgot to laugh.

4. So, in the end, she gets away with everything. The decent teacher is sent to a terrible school. And everyone lives happily ever after. She continues to be a snob. Without the proper rehab she will continue to be a drug user. And those children will suffer.

Um... is this supposed to be a comedy? Because it isn't funny at all. How can any parent of any public school attending children be amused by this? This is a shame. It should have never been made into a movie.

It is a sad portrayal of the public school system. I hope this isn't how public schools really are nowadays...? If this was a male teacher abusing little girls, would it still be funny?

I think the people who made this film should be ashamed of themselves. I think the public education system should pull out a lawsuit for this. Is this really what America is all about now? If the teachers are corrupt, what chance do your children have?

Why did you even watch this movie? First of all,it's a COMEDY. About a "BAD TEACHER"!! How could you even take a moment of this movie so seriously? After your exhaustive rant,I doubt you have the mental capacity to even enjoy modern comedy. Stick to dramas.

it's a joke, relax

1. Technically, she was reported. Besides that, if you really feel like taking this movie seriously, they probably felt bad about her engagement ending and passed it off as being upset.

2. If this offends you, don't watch a movie called "Bad Teacher." Just a thought.

3. I thought it was pretty ridiculous for them top smoke pot inside the school, putting their jobs in jeopardy. As for Amy, she wasn't that great of a person either. I'd put whoever Phyllis played above Amy.

4. Well it does help that Elizabeth was always two steps ahead. And if you even finished watching the movie, you'd see that she became a better person and a guidance counselor, meaning she doesn't interact with the students nearly as much as she used to.

Yeah, Really! It's a comedy called "Bad Teacher"!

I thought this was hilarious! and I love Cameron Diaz in Charlies Angels,
Knight and Day etc.

Okay, I saw this movie as part of "dinner and a movie" night for the SMD Summer Breakout Program. Enjoyed it. That's because whenever I go to the movies, I go for a nice evening (or afternoon, but mostly evening) out.

I think of Shania Twain's lyrics in cases like this: "I ain't gonna act politically correct/I only wanna have a good time." Learn to adapt this kind of thinking when you go to the movies, and leave the prudish attitude at the door.

"It's just a movie!"

So when it's just a movie, child abuse is fun? Comedy fodder?

If that's the case, maybe we could talk about funniest rape scene in a movie. (For it's JUST a movie, right?) "This guy dove into a vat of KY and then slipped and slid all over the place before he could finally penetrate this chick he had kidnapped and tied up! It was so FUNNY!!!"

If you were describing a documentary, I would completely agree, but you're not, you're just describing a bad movie.

Imagine all the movies you could apply a similar list to if they were real life...

Bottom line is, it's a bad comedy, it had a few laugh out loud moments, but it's still a bad comedy.

If this were set in an office people wouldn't care. The fact that it's set in a school has obviously hit a nerve with people, but this isn't a movie aimed at kids.

'Outraged' is maybe too extreme, but I find movies where child actors take on dark adult based roles to be more offensive... The shinning springs to mind. The kid who plays Danny was unaware he was filming a horror movie, and only found out as a teenager.

There are a lot of movies where I can understand people being 'outraged', this isn't one.

What outrages me about this movie is that $20,000,000 was budgeted to produce the same clichéd crap we have seen a thousand times.

"Spoiler" alert: (and I use quotes because if you couldn't predict how this movie would end, you're an idiot!)

Just the title, A-list cast and the fact it's been advertised as a romantic comedy is enough to tell you that a 'Bad Teacher' is obviously going to become a good teacher (debatable I know, but that's how the movie portrays it.)

Every romantic A-lister comedy to EVER come out of Hollywood follows the same framework. Someone (usually a woman) is single, or has a break up, she meets someone new [insert 'falls in love but break up', 'too shy to start a relationship', 'realises their pursuing the wrong person' etc...] and then ultimately ends with them falling in love and living happily ever after.

It's tiresome, but it's a safe format that in this case made almost $200 million.

That $20 million could have been spent on something new and original, that's what outrages me!

bats6767, you need a hug. how are you so outraged by a film, clearly meant to be a raunchy comedy, which, btw, I found it to be very funny!

I'll give you that they went over the top of improbable behavior because there's no way the hammer wouldn't have came down on constent movies. That said.....In the future....If a movie title starts with "Bad" something.....Pass it up because it's most likely the worse example of that type of person...Case in point...."Bad Santa." You'll go through the roof on that one if this one upset you so bad....
