Is it good ?

I like law & order. Is this a good series like the other 3 long time shows or rubbish like the LA one was ?

I'm enjoying it, but I wonder what a none Elliot Fan would think.

I love that Elliot is back, and Dylan McDermott is killing it as the bad guy.....

...but do I think that after this plot line comes to term, can the show survive?
Only if a new very clever plot is created.

Also, fans want it , but I have no interest in an Olivia and Elliot romance.
Am I the only one that sees that they are just good friends?

reply

Oh really?! There's a romance with them now?

I see them as friends/partners too. Why introduce a love story into a crime show 🤷‍♀️

reply

It's all very bizarre.

Kathy just died, and the fans are trying to ship an Olivia and Elliot relationship.

Then I can't tell if Elliot is playing up the needs to be touched by a woman, or is actually wanting to have sex with one of the other characters?

It does seem an odd way to introduce the show.

It's been renewed for a second season so I suppose we will see if the writers are much good,

I’m loving it.

Watched the first two episodes tonight and while it’s a completely different beast to SVU, I think the continuous story arc is intriguing and it’s just a really enjoyable crime/thriller series. So good to see Chris Meloni back as Stabler and the support cast is solid. The scenes so far with Meloni and McDermott facing off are magic.

Very much looking forward to seeing how it plays out, I’m going to pace myself now though because I don’t want to binge and have go back to having nothing good to watch 🙂

While I have mixed feelings about L&O:OC, I have found McDermott to be rather impressive as an ultimate bad guy. Keeping the story arc had been a big surprise.

I’m up to episode 2 of season 1. Meloni is very cool, but some parts of the show felt cheesy - the music, the screenplay (When Stabler asks a woman, “How long does it take” [to get over a death].”

The plot also does not follow the template For Law & Order, which involves a mixture of police work and lawyer work. This show, from what I’ve seen so far, seems to be pure police stuff
