This movie is not good at all

Once you stop comparing it to how bad the Theatrical Version, you will realize how much this movie DOESN’T hold up.

It feels more like an Assembly Cut than it does a Director’s Cut because the pacing is freaking horrendous. It feels like I’m watching a damn miniseries instead of movie at times based it’s structure.

It takes almost 10 Minutes for the movie to actually start.

What was the point of the scene with the singing women?

Martian Manhunter was pointless.

The scene with Flash and Iris West could’ve been cut. It had no relevance to the actual movie, Iris West doesn’t show up again and the scene with Flash and his father would’ve been a better introduction. Plus the scene was just awful and dragged on for too long.

Pointless scenes of Lois just moping around when all you needed was the scene of her and Martha and the scene of her going to the monument before Superman gets resurrected. Everything else just pads out the run time.

Barely anything happens in the first two hours. The team gets together at the Bat Signal towards the 1h 51m mark when that moment in a perfectly paced movie would've happened an hour earlier at the latest.

Everything in the Epilogue after Clark opening up his shirt should’ve been cut from the movie. They serve no purpose to the actual movie except pad out the runtime for an additional 13 Minutes.

This movie would’ve gotten trashed had WB put this out in 2017. Don’t even get me started on the 4:3 aspect ratio.

reply

aspect ratio was great, if you consider it the IMAX ratio, Snyder actually used it properly

reply

It doesn’t have the same punch if we are NOT watching the movie in IMAX. To make matters worse he released a BvS Remastered version that switches from 2.39:1 to 1.33:1 for IMAX and it is clunky as hell. There’s a reason Nolan cropped his IMAX scenes to 16:9.

reply

Agreed.

Batman v Superman, Justice League 2017 and Zack Snyder’s Justice League are all just as bad as each other just for different reasons.

Thankfully Snyder isn’t coming back to direct anymore DC films now so things are already looking up for the franchise.

Those Snyder fans on Twitter are relentless with their RestoreTheSnyderVerse hashtag. I wouldn’t surprise me if some idiot from Discovery caves to their demands and bring Snyder back

reply

Are they still tweeting that stuff? Haha holy crap they need to give it a rest already, it’s been almost a year since Snyder Cut came out.

Although having said that I think they’ve been tweeting to try and get Snyder Cut for the fan favourite film of 2021 award thing they’re doing for the Oscars next month.

reply

Try itssan17 fucking loony tunes, think snyder is some sort of god.

reply

Wow, they’re celebrating the day Snyder posted the Jared Leto Jesus Joker picture, this is hilarious and insane.

Also they’re trying to get Army of the Dead for the fan favourite Oscar film. It’s not even a real Oscar it’s just some made up shit to get Twitter users involved and to try and get more people to watch The Oscars because they had record low viewing figures last year.

reply

They’re also spamming the hashtag to get that Flash scene to win the Oscar Cheer Moment over the Assemble scene in Endgame and the Spider-Men from No Way Home.

reply

Just seen that as well. Sigh.

That scene isn't even anywhere near as good as anything from The Flash Season 1 finale 'Fast Enough' which was packed with epic and emotional moments.

Also a cheer moment, seriously? It was on HBO Max, hardly something that united cinema-goers like the portals scene from Endgame or the Spider-Men from No Way Home.

reply

They're lunatics who can't comprehend how the movie business works, they are nutcases who will not listen to logic or reason, when you point out a flaw in any of the Snyder movies they'll rage at you like a five year old.

reply

At some point can't those Snyder fans on Twitter just fuck off and move on? what can you expect from people who spent their lives inside a bubble unwilling to accept any DC movie that isn't Snyderverse.

reply

With the success of The Batman things are gonna go differently like everyone starting to forget about Batfleck.

I would rather watch solo Batman films than DC team up movies.

reply

They went into the team up phase too soon to properly develop the characters, if MOS2 had been made in 2015, solo Batfleck in 2016, BVS in 2017 and JL in 2021 things could've been different.

Show how he came to be in BVS or Batman Vs Deathstroke they had planned. BVS and Justice League had too many plot threads, they were both like five movies shoved into one movie. BVS wouldn't done better as a solo Superman movie or at least not include so many DC characters, to do a team up movie right after Man Of Steel was really soon.

reply

The CGI was crap.
