A scene I wanted but didn't get.

This was a missing scene toward the end. We needed a scene where Furiosa, after gaining her mechanical arm, wins the good will of the War Boys. I get we didn't have 6 hours and 400 million dollars to show the 40 day war. But this shift was needed to be shown. That a faction of War Boys, shown in the beginning to die on command to Joe's Will, should shift their alliance to Praetorian Furiosa, such that she becomes Imperator Furiosa. And that loyal band of lunatics she employs. From what i've come to understand, Scrotus gains his own rogue band of War Boys in the video game when he takes over Gastown. Why did they bend over backwards to find her a car when she needed one? There was a scene of connective tissue missing here. The time jumps, as the movie moves along, get too extreme. What lesson did she learn from the little bugger in the cabbage cargo area getting blasted? Furiosa loved her War Boys. There's a piece missing in the narrative.

There are a lot of pieces missing in the narrative, that's the reason this film fails.

Here's a scene I wanted but didn't get:

Max (Mel Gibson): Just who the hell are you?
Faux Max (Tom Hardy): My name's Max...ummm yeah... that's my name.
Max (Mel Gibson): Wrong answer. There's only ONE Max, and that's me.
Faux Max (Tom Hardy): Huh?
Max (Mel Gibson): That's MY vehicle. If it's all the same to you... I'll drive my Pursuit Special, now.
Faux Max (Tom Hardy): ::grunts incoherantly::
Max (Mel Gibson): I wouldn't do that. I've got the skills.
Faux Max (Tom Hardy): We might be able to... together... ::grunts incoherantly::
Max (Mel Gibson): You want to get out of here? You've got to go thru ME.

Max Mad proceeds to beat the crud out of Faux Max, and then takes his wheels and rides off triumphantly into the desert.

Mad Max swept up into a 40 day road war and keeping his car the entire time? Can I pay 500 dollars to see this?

There's a final act sequence needed. Where Furiosa unequivocally wins over the loyalty over the war rig's War Boy squad, same as Praetorian Jack commanded. Where she wins over the love and trust of Immortan Joe's wives. It's goofy. She just does a little welding, gets a neck brand, and we're all up to speed. Nah. We needed about 20 minutes of material here. Where we didn't need it in the beginning. This movie focused so long on what didn't matter and flew right threw what did.
