I only enjoyed this one because I watched the sorry-ass original

I watched about a hour of this, blew it off, and decided to watch the original first. The ONLY thing I got out of the original Dune was a understanding of the story. That movie was boring. Of course I expected the same of this one. At least this one was visually nice to look at.

This story is pretty much a dull story. Not sure how it made it to the screen. Twice. And now we're suppose to wait about 2yrs for it to finish. What they should've done was made a mini-series out of it and sold it to a steaming service. In 2yrs I probably won't remember the story cause I really don't care. And I doubt I'd refresh by watching this one again before the 2nd part comes out.
