I've seen Christmas movies where they have fake snow and people walking in the background with T-Shirts.

...like the original "Halloween," which supposedly takes place during Halloween in Illinois. It was actually shot in May in Los Angeles.

Most trees stay green year-round here in Los Angeles. We do have some deciduous trees that lose their leaves in fall and winter, but they're less common.
