Other GOT spinoff series in production


Here are general summaries of a few additional spinoffs in early development

(1) Sam Tarly: The College Years. Sam decides to return to Maester school to earn his degree. Sam and Hodor are roommates, and band together with Bran to start the Tri-Epsilon Fraternity House. But trouble arises when Tormund Giantsbane's fraternity storms the Tri-Eps' house and infects Bran with dragonscale.

(2) The Long Winter. Jon Snow returns to the wall. He marries and has 3 children. He soon is infected with wanderlust, and takes his family on a covered wagon journey to the west, and settle on small farm outside of a town. But soon a new winter falls, and Jon and his family are forced to move into town with the other citizens. The family begins to starve, but luckily Jon finds food in a hole in the wall. His middle daughter goes on to write a series of popular children's books detailing their adventures.

(3) The New World. Arya Stark sets sail after convincing the queen of Winterfell that she can reach the vast riches of Volantis by sailing west around the world. She reaches land after several months at sea, and then takes a bunch of natives she refers to as "Volantians" hostage. Upon her return to Winterfell with the imprisoned Volantians, the Queen points out that they are in fact members of the Yi Ti tribe. In an effort to establish diplomatic relations, the Queen executes the Volantians and sends Arya on a return voyage with their shrunken heads to trade for gold and valuable spices.

(4) Sansa vs. Stairs. Sansa falls down a different extremely long series of stairs every episode for the entire duration of each week's show. As she falls she will hit her head on a variety of objects such as a gong or a giant bell, at one point her face will land in a cow pat that is there for no reason whatsoever, and when she gets to the bottom her head will get stuck in a bucket.

Not sure if that has the type of story structure that HBO is looking for.

Perhaps this would be more a better option:

(5) The Good, the Bad, and the Jhogwins. A four part mini-series that will include Lord Varys, Davos Seaworth, and 3 ancient stone giant Jhogwins. All will be in search of a buried treasure from Robert Baratheon's war. Varys and Davos trick the Jhogwins into entering a fishing tournament, and convince them to rent a pontoon boat. However, the pontoon boat is owned by Jorah Mormont, who attempts to charge the Jhogwins double the rental fee at the dock. As a result, they miss the tournament.

(6) The Cersei Window Hour. Cersei stares out of a window for a solid hour. We cut to what she is looking at from time to time. One time she is looking at a caterpillar climbing on a leaf, and a different time she is watching two homeless guys banging.

(7) Edd and the Shovel: 10-episode mini-series. After everything is done and everyone is dead, Edd Tollett, the only survivor of A Song of Ice and Fire, has to bury everyone all around Westeros.

Regarding Mag Mar Tun Doh Weg: In a planned multi season series, the legendary giant of the wildlings, Mag Mar Tun Doh Weg, is a high price defense attorney. He wins a big MedMal case, the goes out on the town with his wife. He comes home, then runs Out to get cigarettes at the local convenient store which Is being robbed at the time. The assailant shoots him, causing him to lose consciousness and enter into a long drawn out coma. He wakes up several weeks later, haven’t forgotten most of his prior life. He slowly recovers at a local rehabilitation center then comes home and discovers that his wife has been cheating on him with his old law partner, Wun Wun. He reconnects with his young daughter, and establishes the relationship he had never had. Despite having no money, they all decide they going to quit their jobs s and schools and go live in a really expensive place yet to be determined.

A 30 minute comedy series at the pub where Hot Pie makes the gravy and the Hound is the bartender who insults the clientele and occasionally kills one over some chickens.
