Cute & charming

I watched the new movie, Bill & Ted Face the Music. It was a cute, charming film. I thought it could have been funnier though. It was still a nice, enjoyable time. My rating is a 7/10. And remember to be excellent to one another and party on dudes!

I didn't think it was as much fun as the previous two movies (but what movies are as fun as 80s/90s movies anymore). It still had its fun moments and I had an excellent time watching it. For a third instalment in a series that's been gone for thirty years they did a pretty good job of it.

Party on, dude!

As someone who grew up watching tons of movies from those decades (many of which remain my favorites), I say... oh, just many today! Like? Meh, what’s the point of that... nothing will ever compare to the good ol’ days for the xoomas and boomas. (The rest of the internet aside, this site is enough proof of that.) Y’all do y’all.

It was ok, I give it a 7/10 too, and it was at its best when Bill and Ted interacted with the future Bill and Ted's, more of that and the movie would have been better.

it was a bit of expected silliness, but, honestly, I expected a little more than it delivered. I don't regret seeing, but it wasn't worth what I paid.

I shall pay attention to more reviews next time.

It wasn't the worst movie I've seen, but I think it could've been better.

SPOILERS:

Liked:

- I liked the parts with Bill and Ted visiting their future selves.
- The bit with Dave Grohl was pretty funny.
- Their interactions with their wives was pretty good.
- The idea of their daughters gathering famous musicians.

Disliked:

- The writers/actors went way overboard on making the daughters exactly like Bill and Ted, especially the girl that plays Ted's daughter. I think there is a way they could've done it where both girls share some of their dad's traits, but still retain some individuality. I also don't remember the girls interacting with their mothers at all, which is pretty strange.

- Who the hell is Kid Cudi? This seems like a blatant attempt to add in someone who today's youth would find appealing. However, I really don't think today's youth is your target audience. I'm pretty sure that neither of the previous films are staples on their classic movie lists. So, giving him such a prominent role, kinda turned me off.

- Didn't really like the Death angle where he apparently stayed with the band, broke up with the band, released solo records, sued them for the band name, etc. Even for Bill and Ted, this was way over the top. I like their interactions with Death, but they should've kept it a heaven and hell thing instead of a disgruntled band member angle.

Hated:

Dennis Caleb McCoy - This is Jar Jar Binks level of annoying. WHY would you do this? The guy who plays him must've
had pictures of the producers or something because this was REALLY BAD.

Loved it. Yes, loved it! Seeing Keanu & Alex in these roles again was excellent (decades older but they were as good as ever in my book), William Sadler as Death was pure gold once again, Samara Weaving & Brigette Lundy-Paine were exceptional as Billie and Thea (real standouts), the humor absolutely worked for me, and despite what some old fans... especially the very agenda-driven regressive booma crowd that screams agenda all over this site... of this series may predictably claim, I felt this movie pretty much carried the same feel and tone as the first two. Although it fittingly had a more modern touch to it, too (and offended by that I am not).

*Maybe* it could’ve been stronger in some aspects, but overall I thought it was a fun, endearing, legitimately touching, and well-executed movie that most certainly did the characters justice. In other words, I liked it significantly better than those on movie boards like this did... gee, what a surprise... and frankly no less than the previous movies. *gasps* Oh yeah, I fail to see how this was such a lesser movie compared to the first two. ‘Matter or fact, regardless of how unimpressed many of the nostalgists are, this third film is being met with a far better reception than Bogus Journey - and I can definitely see why even though Bogus Journey may be my favorite.

So yes, this was a most triumphant return for these excellent dudes! It’s a proper Bill & Ted film (the most mature one in more ways than one), a strong threequel, and a film that was definitely welcome in times like these (broken record propagandist privileged fascists need not apply). Can’t wait to watch it again.

Agreed. I had my doubts about it. That's probably why it felt so tolerable. It didn't disappoint. It had it's weak points, but so do the originals. But it also fit right in with the originals.

Actually it was sinister, cynical woke propaganda of the worst kind, hijacking a beloved franchise only to spoil it and insult its fans by using it as a delivery mechanism for nasty political dogma. ‘Cute and charming’ it ain’t.
