40 minutes in ... boring

It started off okay, didn’t waste any time, as it just jumped into the outbreak. So here’s this young dude, well versed in technology, who is trapped inside his apartment during the crisis. I figure the film would explore his options - maybe he’ll brainstorm and try to make attempts to escape, or try to salvage resources, come up with a plan using his technological whiz skills etc etc. This could be interesting, I thought.

But then the film spends a lot of time with him doing nothing. Just him walking around his apartment, listening to music and dancing, lying down in his couch, looking out his window, sometimes making videos with his phone. Boring stuff

By the time he sees that girl, I was fed up with the movie and turned it off.

Guy was a moron! Once he realized he was going to be trapped in that apartment for god knows how long, he should have filled every pot, bowl, glass, bucket, and tub with water for survival.

exactly this, what and Idiot!. As soon as it all started I was thinking take a food inventory and make sure you have enough water but nope.

He did kind off take food inventory in the beggining. Remember when he layed all that food on the table and said his mom was right, that he should've gone grocery shopping?

The water thing though... you are right. Even in real life when I see the water is being stopped for maintenance or something I fill up a bunch of pots and bottles, and I always have a big 10l bottle of mineral water, because you never know.

I thought the first half hour or so was the best of it... I found Yoo Ah-in's performance charmingly goofy and there was some invention in the script, as well as the obvious 2020 topicality. Later it sank into typical action territory, derivative of numerous other films - watchable, but instantly disposable, and it ended with a whimper.

I wasn't sure if it was because there was no electricity. Whether there was or was not seemed to be a little confused. Or was there 'always' internet? Maybe it went up and down? It wasn't the greatest movie but I did finish it. I think the actor is good and when the action starts in the last half I perk up.
