Seems like a lot of popular actors are making duds lately. Russel Crowe just came out with Unhinged that was worse than awful. Maybe it's getting harder for American movies to keep remaking the same old boring stuff and trying to sell it.
shareUnhinged was crappy, if you take the time to analyze it, but this film ..... was even worse. What's the point of making the main character a scientist if he doesn't even mention anything about the possible reasons for what happened on earth. There's basically no science at all in this film, while most of the characters are scientists in a pseudo sci-fi film - lol
Moreover - the dialogues were poorly written - most of the time there's no sense of urgency or any sort of attempts to understand the cause of Earth's destruction.
Shhhh .... I am in the middle of watching it.
Seriously though, there is not much science in any movie. It's called science fiction for a reason. So far I don't know what is going on, but I don't know why they have to leave a little girl in the complex. The thing is that I am so surprised at how these end of the world, zombie and apocalyptic movies are such a large percentage of the total movies made. I will review this when I am done ... if it actually deserves a review. The space station so far does not look very realistic or scientific.

shareI read reviews of the book this is based on - and..... while reviews are all great, apparently even in the book there's no explanation for what happened to earth. In the book, readers said that there was no change to earth's appearance other than lack of lights. In the film.... the whole atmosphere began to vent to the outer space.
