Dorne could have easily declared independence just like the North

They had no loses in terms of man power and had a new leader in charge who was loyal to Daenerys it would have taken the Houses to the North a long time to mount any type of invasion (they had no navy left, were tried of war) and the Red Mountains are still a great strategic defense.

reply

Dorne could march on King's Landing tomorrow and take it in about 15 minutes since the "King's" army has declared itself a independent nation and won't be protecting him at all. Dorne could probably make peace with several of the other Kingdom's by granting them their independence and expand their own kingdom to twice its current size.

Who would even try to stop them?

reply

Actually I think they could probably take over a few southern regions. They are in the best shape.
Then again they would get more power and money trading and making inroads into the shattered nobility to make sure the next "chosen" kind will be a Dornishman.

reply

The entire arrangement -- Zombie Bran as King, Selfish Sansa as QOTN, and Jon (the only logical choice for King and true heir to the throne) exiled to the Wall -- will lead to even further division and war.

reply

Yeah this peace wont last long Yara for example wasnt to happy either.

reply

Exactly. The Iron Islands and Dorne would be right behind the North in leaving.

After that, what do you imagine the mercenary they elevated to Lord of Highgarden, Lord Paramount of the Reach, Warden of the South and Master of Coin will do with his new wealth and power? Fork it over to the Melted Throne? I don't see that happening for some reason.

reply

Bronn really won the game when you think about it. He has the most fertile/populated land and all he has to do is keep Tyrion and the others 'happy' and he can steal as much gold and gain as much power as he wants which i am sure he will do.

reply

Right, or decide to name himself King of the Reach instead. And with the power of House Lannister being decimated, maybe take over Casterly Rock and the Westerlands as well.

reply

Exactly...anyone who bought into that absurd agreement at the end isn’t a true fan of GoT.

reply

They didn't have someone as smart as the great Sansa in their ranks.

reply

Maybe they won’t because Bran would see it coming (and they know that).
