Do Podrick and Gendry looks similar on purpose?

I know that Gendry is a Bastard Baratheon, but is Podrick also a descendant, even if not a Baratheon, of one of the major Houses?

I don't think so. He's a member of a lesser house called House Payne. He's a distant cousin of Sir Ilyn Payne, the man who executed Ned Stark.

I know right! I keep getting the two confused. From what little I've read/heard from the books, there's no relation. Think it's more of a casting issue. They should've got someone who looks tougher to play Gendry.

I get those two mixed up, especially when it's been months and months and the show just started again ... and now it is over for some long time now
