Will Jorah get all jealous and challenge Jon to a duel?

There were some real sparks between Jorah and Daenerys but now Jon is in the picture. After Jorah got his greyscale cured and came all the way back to be with her, don't you think he's going to be very angry? Or will he be Han Solo to D & J's Leia and Luke when they find out they are aunt and nephew?

reply

I really hope not.

I think Dany sees him more as a wise uncle or something than an actual potential partner. I think Jorah realises this, he's seen her with other partners so I don't think he would be any more jealous than he was of them.

reply

Yeah Jorah seems resigned to the fact that hes more of a 'friend' at this point
I also think a fight with Jon would end terribly for Jorah...

reply

Jorah is very much resigned to his role as father figure and mentor, however little he liked it he's been resigned to it for a long time. More so now that he's had grayscale, he's still hesitant to touch her. Or anyone.

And if Jorah didn't challenge Dario, he's not going to challenge Jon. Dario was a sleaze, but Jon is actually worthy of her.

reply

I agree on that.. if I was Jorah, I would certainly rather see Dany with Jon than Dario!!

reply

Heh yeah-Jon is good people...and the first Dario actor had the right amount of 'sleazy' dude behavior...second actor was a bit too nerdy/not intimidating imo

reply

I didn't realize until recently that the first Daario was "Francis" from Deadpool.

reply

Yeah 'Ajax'/Francis lol
The actor has a great creepy-guy face

I agree.
I mean, he _is_ old enough to be her father…

reply

In Game of Thrones world, he's probably old enough to her grandfather! I think he's supposed to be about 30 years older than her.

reply

Oh yeah, you’re right!
I totally forgot that in GoT world, pregnancy at 15 isn’t unusual.

reply

For myself, I really hope he doesn't. I was kinda fond of Jorah at first, but for some reason he's started to grate on me a little. I usually go for the super loyal, unrequited types, but something in me just wants him to wake up, have some self-respect, and move on. I'd be OK if he sacrifices himself for her cause, but not if he actually made a play for her by challenging Jon. That would say to me that Daeny doesn't get a say in who she's with--it's all up to guys fighting. She's the Queen, she's her own woman, she chooses what she thinks is best.

I really like his story
He was a fool for love, married a spoiled brat, committed a stupid crime to support his crappy relationship, was banished by Ned from the kingdoms, fell into a murder conspiracy against Dany, fell in love at first sight with her...and on and on
I like his story and see him as the classic fool type of character and will be sad when/if he gets killed (which i assume almost everyone will...)
Oh and i agree...Dragon Queen is nobodies 'prize' to tussle over
