This is the reason why people was dismissive of those leaks initially. Cause the stuff they were saying made no sense to some people. Even the wight dragon rumor people thought was BS (admittedly i thought it was awesome lol). Jon's plan was a rumor months before the show aired, and when it leaked people was like "this can't be real, cause it's stupid. Well...here we are lol. As far as the plan goes, i mean it is what it is. Like someone else said earlier what else was there for Jon to do? Dany can't just invade because of the moral dilemma that's been tied around her neck. A Dilemma Jon and Tyrion put there.

Yes Cersie can't be trusted but, they wouldn't let Daenerys end it sooner by invading King's Landing right away, so now they're stuck with this bleak prospect of having to trust Cersei and hope they can beat the Night's King, with now 2 dragons.

See, that's the problem. Nobody has any better ideas. I guess for other people, they think Cersei, should be left to her devises and that the throne is either fools gold, or taking it will make you a bad guy by default. They seem to think Danny has a obligation to spend her forces on the north. But even in that context they still need Cersei for better or for worse.

Sending a few ranger groups out from the wall would have been a good idea...I get it that Cersei and other people wont believe the Army of the Dead story without proof (i wouldnt either to be honest)
It just seems that Jon was being a heroic fool by going himself
He should at least be a bit concerned about events at Winterfell

Jon is noble. He lead the search party to make sure it all went the way he wanted. Maybe it's because he had the experience of being at Team Player from his time at the Wall.

This is what makes him a popular leader.

He's also had no official training in strategy, leadership etc. that I can think of. ..which might have stressed that he can't lead his team to safety if he's DEAD. He's just winging it in a "Let's Do This" sort of way.

(There are many details from the show I forget, tho. Like when those flaming swords came out, I was like, "Okay...are those NEW?")

Recent events are stupid for several reasons.

1) Cersei wouldn't believe in an undead threat if a wight was chewing her arm off. If she somehow started to believe, she'd want to sacrifice the entire North to the undead, to pay them back for rebelling against her rule, because she'd think that was her top priority. No, Cersei can never be made to see reason, and both Tyrion and Jamie should know that. Dany should just melt the red keep and declare herself queen, and get on with fighting the zombies apocalypse.

2) Jon's zombie-hunting mission was foolish in every way, and has hurt his cause so much that Dany would hang him for treason or incompetence if she weren't sweet on him. If he had to go himself, he needed to use scouts, to keep from you know, blundering into the main undead amry. But why go at all, when he could have just offered a reward for a "live" wight, or had the NW hang criminals or take the dying out of the infirmaries?

I'm not sure people automatically become wights when they die. Those are George Romero rules not White Walker rules lol.

No one seems to remember it was tyrions plan to bring back the wight. Jon wanted to go to winterfell originally after reading brans letter

They should have been able to burn the entire White Walker army with the 3 dragons, but for some reason the Night King was really good with a javelin.

It'll be interesting to hear how the final episode of the season plays out.
