Episode 6 Leaked!
The people at HBO are too dumb. They accidentally aired episode 6 four days before its airdate and now newspapers are printing spoilers. Two leaks in one month. They have the worst security in the industry.

I'm leaning more towards HBO doing it on purpose for mass publicity--because it's getting more people watching the show than ever before.
No, they are doing season 8 in 2018. D&D are keen to do their next show so they will end GOT sooner than later.
shareGlad to hear it, and yeah keen may be an understatement--so far Season 7 has felt like a rushfest compared to the previous six. I don't mind though, we as fans deserve this treat with George having apparent difficulty writing his latest books.
shareWell, I think the reason, or at least a big part of the reason why its a bit rushed is that they no longer have a blueprint of the books to go off of anymore. I think there are a lot of examples where film/tv adaptations fail when they stray from the books. For example, True Blood (as schlocky as it was from the get go) was at its best in the first 2 seasons because those were the most faithful adaptations. Then the producers decided to stray and ultimately completely abandon the source material. In this instance they have no source material anymore. If they did, the seasons might be longer and less rushed.
GRRM probably gave them a blueprint with a stopping point, but they had a set number of episodes to get there. And whatever parts they are having to skip over will be in the books.

Looks like it came from an official (accidental?) airing, episode 4 was a workprint that probably came from the hack. I remember when the first 4 episodes for season 5 leaked. Then everyone was sad because they had to wait a month for a new one. And still a shitload of people watched them during the regular air time.
