How many times in a movie have you seen a woman thwart a man, and he calls her, “You WHORE”? Answer: EVERY time.
Why is everyone on this topic using the word “slut” as if it were a pejorative? And why is it only applied to a woman? And why do y’all think it takes a certain number of acts for someone to qualify as “a slut?” My goodness, what a parochial group of posters!

On the issue of how many times need a woman have sex before she becomes a slut: just 1. No, it should be clear I don’t think any and all sex is bad, or evil, or sinful; but there are certain acts that can instantly make anyone—woman or man—a slut. These include rape (which has nothing to do with sex), incest, necrophilia and pedophilia. I think many people would also think that a woman who has anal or oral sex is a slut. There are some sex acts that make a lot of people very squeamish to think about. A woman need not sleep with the Marine Corps to be a slut to a lot of folks. Sometimes a blowjob is all that it takes.
Why don’t we label promiscuous men “sluts”? Hell, we slap ‘em on the back and call him Stud! The facile answer is, “Men can’t get pregnant.” True; but we men can contract and carry STD, father and ignore completely unwanted babies, destroy a woman’s reputation WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY BUILDING UP HIS OWN! I say that this situation is completely illogical and misogynistic. Why do we perpetuate it by calling Sookie Stackhouse a whore?
