LOL Wheres the direct MoS sequel at, huh fanboys?

Almost 10 years, and we've haven't had a true MoS sequel that addresses all of this film's problems - plotholes, plot contrivances, etc. All you DCEU fanboys out there like to berate any comic book film that isn't trying to emulate the TDK trilogy. And no, I'm not a troll or Marvel fan, I am just someone who likes WELL WRITTEN films. It's always a pleasure to see DCEU fanboys meltdown knowing they won't be getting a MoS 2. LOL

What are you talking about? There was a sequel to this one in Batman V Superman. It takes place directly after the events of this film. Even opens with the fight with General Zod.

reply

I'm talking about a standalone MoS 2 that explains the rest of this film's countless flaws LOL

reply

In all intends and purposes the negative receptions of BVS and JL have killed all hopes of a MOS 2.

reply

And the best part is, they spent all of 2013 gloating about MOS's supposed "success" and mocking those of us who CORRECTLY predicted it would NEVER get a sequel because it was too polarizing and depressing. They even cited Batman v. Superman as "proof" it was "getting a sequel" (until about 5 years later, where they admitted what we said all along, that BvS was a spinoff set in the same universe, NOT "the sequel" to MOS)

Who's laughing now, MOS fanboys? Who's laughing now?!?!

If you ask me the DCEU is caught between a rock and a hard place, fans want Cavill but the chances of that are very slim.

reply

We can never ever get out of recasting and rebooting Superman and Batman every ten plus years, that's the system we can't change the system.

The DCEU fanboys love to claim this film is the best superhero origin film ever as well LOL

This film not only has an awful screenplay but it lacks any fun whatsoever.

For me it’s almost as bad as Fantastic Four (2015) as far as superhero origin films go and the only thing that stops it from being as soulless as that film is Hans Zimmer’s score.

Both films have an unnecessarily dark tone, they’re terribly paced and lack any good character development.

This was the source material so you should blame them

Yeah, but I also think that The Dark Knight trilogy’s success meant Warner Bros were just going to make Superman and any other future superhero films dark and gritty.

Superman is a Boy Scout like Captain America, both are very moral and upstanding characters.
Marvel proved you can still make that kind of character interesting and fun with their Captain America films.

The problem also for me is that unlike The Dark Knight trilogy Man of Steel’s darkness and grittiness is just very shallow, it’s nowhere near as deep or as morally complex as David S. Goyer and Zack Snyder think it is.

The scene where Superman and Lois kiss with a backdrop of a destroyed Metropolis just seems so inappropriate considering how many people would have just died.

BvS was the sequel.
