Very solid start for season 13, really makes up for season 12. Good to see Simmons from Beyond Borders on the team.

Hope the others from Beyond Borders will make guest appearances, good show with a good team, too bad it only lasted 2 seasons, they haven't had good luck with spin offs, Suspect Behavior only lasted one season.

For as much as I've enjoyed Criminal Minds I've never been able to get into the spin off's. I thought Suspect Behavior was in theory to close to the original to really work. And then Beyond Borders I think I watched 2 or 3 episodes but it never really grabbed me, despite feeling different.

I liked Suspect also. Sad it didn't come back.

Beyond Borders was rubbish, never made any sense and Gary Sinise was like a wooden puppet. I was surprised it lasted two seasons, Suspect Behaviour was a much better product albeit way too close to the original.

I think it was an all right start, but you still have to get by with this cast and I am not sure its going to work. I never watched Beyond Borders so I don't know much about Simmons, but the rest of the cast...After Reid and Rossi I really struggle to care.
