Chris Pine as damsel...

What do you guys think of Chris Pine as damsel in distress?

Was he able to pull it off? They've certainly given him the right haircut for it in this movie... so I guess he's half way there... ;)

Seriously though, did it play out that way in the movie? It's what it looked like in the trailer... haven't seen it yet...

He did an adequate job, but he was damn sexy ;)

He wasn't the "damsel in distress", he was the "entry character."

He was the guy like us, the person who we could identify with, and who made that world seem real. It was his job to convince the audience that everything else in the film was real, that all these Amazons and gods and women charging machine guns were as solid and believable as the streets of London. Pine did a fine job of it.

First of all, he wasn't a "damsel" anything since he's not a woman.

Second, how is it possible for you to discuss a movie you haven't seen and have no intention of seeing?

reply

Sigh... i was clearly making a joke... i do not actually think Pine is female...

So... I should see a movie before asking any question about casting? Seems rather limiting... Anyway, I will probably see the movie eventually, perhaps when it comes on TV in a year or two... I'm a bit superheroed out when it comes to movies... I was never the comicbook type

Just thought Chris Pine's casting was interesting... Couldn't really imagine him being carried over wonder woman's shoulder ;) It seems that's not the direction they took...

They treated him well, not at all like the Steve to Lynda Carter 's Wonder Woman. She was always rescuing him. In the movie, she did rescue him at the beginning but that's pretty much it. They were more like partners.

I agree, too many any of these super hero movies. I have skipped a few myself and rarely go to the theater. If you're being choosy I do recommend Wonder Woman.
