Wow that was 'fast'

I will get this on blu for the extras though. Other DCEUs i have on blu ray are MoS, BvS, JL (both versions), and Suicide Squad. The rest like WW, Aquaman, TSS, BlackAdam etc I just got the barebones dvds (as abit cheaper and I wasn't that bothered about them anyway , and hadn't seen them at cinema either).

I guess the Keaton Batman films are part of the DCEU now and I have them on the old Anthology dvd set (no extras) but will probably upgrade to the blu set for all the extras (I own the huge Superman Reeve/Returns blu set), TDK films I only got on dvd (like the original Bat films) as blu wasnt around at the time I started buying them and they have all the extras on anyway (unlike the past 10 years or so when they started putting the extras only on blu with the dvd just the movie.. so if you want the extras you have to get the blu)

reply

In terms of DCEU movies, I own these on Bluray:

1. Man of Steel
2. ZS's Justice League
3. Aquaman
4. Wonder Woman
5. The Suicide Squad
6. Shazam

I had BvS & SS on dvd but lost 'em when I was moving.

reply

Good to know. I sometime buy DVDs if I just want the movie, but I'll pick up the Blu-ray for this (as you say, the extras). Just got to decide where it goes on my shelf - with the DCEU movies, or next to the two Keaton films. I normally keep all my DC movies in release order, but there's a strong argument for putting this with B89 and BR as it's a legacy sequel. But then where does MOS go? I guess that should go between BR and TF. Which messes up my DCEU order. Dammit. Maybe I should buy two copies of TF (one can be the DVD), and whilst I'm at it a second copy of MOS!

reply

Don't worry about the chronological orders , like Keaton said its like spaghetti, its all a big mess!

reply

That's true! 😂

reply

Got it. (blu)

reply

Picked up mine today.

reply

Forgot to mention... When I bought my copy the girl serving in HMV told me they sold out of the DVD version very quickly. They never expected the level of demand! Good to hear!

reply

I should think so! Keaton returns as Batman , its still shocking to me it bombed , (but we've been over why countless times)

I got my blu on ebay btw (abit cheaper)

I went in HMV yesterday for first time in years , its more like a sci-fi store/Forbidden Planet now with loads of graphic novels, movie T shirts, posters, action figures (the usual Pops but also realistic Hot Toys/Neca type stuff for retro scifi films Alien, Predator 2, Halloween etc) , I know they always had some of that stuff but it seems more now. The posters section were mainly trendy stuff kids like now (Stranger Things, Marvel, Anime, AGrande, Barbie etc) but had a few retro classic movies that obviously still resonate with todays gen (Exorcist, Pulp Fiction, Scarface, Blade Runner, Bond, SW.. last time went in a few years ago I bought a Terminator 1 poster) plus they had 2 Flash 'Worlds Collide' posters (an Ezra one and a Keaton Batman).

reply

HMV has certainly changed a lot over the years. I used to love their main store in Oxford Street, Central London, but that closed a few years ago when they hit hard times. I've heard rumours it may reopen in the fairly near future.

reply

the film is not worth buying as there is no "rewatch" value to it. Once was quite enough.

The first Matrix on VHS, that had to be rewatched, first for the cool action, then the plot, then what it means being born as a slave on this planet.

reply

Personal taste. I've watched it three times.
