I gave her a chance...

But still cannot stand her. I don’t buy her as the Doctor. I had hopes when they introduced black Doctor character (who seemed cool) but then they dropped it basically. They’ve ruined it with this casting choice. And the only companion i care about is Graham. Is there any hope? I don’t know if i can stand another 10 eps with Jodie.

Richard Ayoade (Moss from the IT Crowd) would have been a great Doctor Who, he’s quirky, funny and has charisma, Matt Berry and Noel Fielding also from the IT Crowd would of made good Doctors as well, or adversaries to Ayoade’s Doctor.

He would have been a cool choice. And one the woke crowd couldn't have too much of a problem with.

Wait. What? Isn’t it the anti-woke crowd that have the biggest tantrums over Doctor Who casting?

reply

Wait. What? The woke crowd wasn't making noise about Doctor Who not being a white dude when the character was being recast? "Tantrum" also made me chuckle. Like they don't lose their shit if a non white character is cast with a white actor when a foreign work is made into a movie in the US. Doesn't happen very often these days, but when it does... (See Scarlett Johansson in Ghost in a Shell)

They don't do this every time some iconic Western white character (especially if its a male character) is recast?

reply

I don’t know mate, you tell me. To be honest I’m mostly too busy enjoying film and tv to spend time getting upset at how it offends my own political agenda.

Please provide a list of iconic Western white male characters that have been recast because I feel it’s important I familiarise myself with this travesty of popular culture.

I like Richard ayoade but don't know how his acting is. He'd be great with the quirky stuff but not sure if he could pull the more serious dramatic stuff as I've only really seen him do comedic stuff. Could be wrong though.

I wouldn't mind seeing Robert Carlyle either doing either the doctor or master

reply

Yeah Robert Carlyle would be good, with Richard Ayoade as I read that name I instantly thought they'd likely dress him like Colin Baker and he'd end up across as a bit goofy, probably his hair gave that thought given Colin's curls (maybe I am curlist lol).

reply

Well it was very good of you to give her a chance anyway, I’m sure she is awash with gratitude and wouldn’t expect you to put yourself through the trauma of 10 more eps. You did your best.

reply

Given that audiences have fallen to all-time minimums in modern Doctor Who, she'd better be grateful. 😄

reply

Thank you Mr Nielsen, we’re aware it only attracts a few million viewers every episode in the UK. Your joy at declining ratings was noted when you made a whole thread about it.

reply

Btw, did kukuxu mention that viewing figures were falling.
