To me its only one good pirates Movie and that is the first one, anyone else who dont care about the sequels at all?

shareall of them fit perfectly with one another except for the black beard one. that one movie didnt jive with the rest the last one felt like a perfect bookend to the series. luckily you dont need the fourth one for the fifth to makes sense.

shareCrazy thing is I actually grew to appreciate 2&3 but I had to watch them like a hundred times. I would consider them rewarding films, but not actually enjoyable. Like if you take the time to actually grasp all the characters, history and nuance of what they put together, they're pretty good. But it's a whole lotta homework and you never just get swept away into another world like with the first movie. There's a lot to like about the 4th film. Honestly, it's like a tv movie. Like a direct to video sequel. It's fine. Whatever. It's not bad so much as it constantly stumbled over not living up to the potential of its story. I'll never watch the 5th movie ever again. Once was enough and the sooner forgotten the better.

Didn't bother to see the 5th one.
I'd have to agree. The other sequels kinda sucked. The second movie grossed me out, and I was angry at what they did to Elizabeth and Will in the 2nd and 3rd movies.
"On Stranger Tides" wasn't quite so bad, but it was vaguely funny and mediocre at best, too fast-paced at worst.
