i am watching it for the first time

I saw it when it first came out and found it a real letdown. The marketing campaign was brilliant, but the film didn't impress me. I thought the 'documentary' The Curse of the Blair Witch (detailing the 'police investigation') was better.

The chick is annoying as hell.. Interesting trivia, she got her start in the Steak & Shake commercials back in the day

I can only imagine that watching this for the first time, if you have been exposed to most modern horror movies, then it will not have aged so well. For the time it came up with a pretty fresh idea and I have to admit parts of it gave me a chilling feeling (the end mainly), but not the sort of film I'd care to watch again because all you are literally watching is just people filming themselves getting lost and scared in a forest.
