One thing I just noticed about the business card scene...

When asked if he wants to play squash, Paul Allen hands his card to Bryce and says "Call me", even though they all have the same exact phone number on their cards. I guess that was another subtle way of showing how superficial they're being. Paul Allen just wanted to show off that watermark.

Yup
And if more guys had a card that dope they'd be waving them all over town too:)

He also declined plans right away lol

Hilarious. Shows the ridiculousness of these narcissistic and ego-driven yuppies even more perfectly. Great scene.

They certainly were obsessed with those business cards. Every small and almost non-existent detail. I found it hilarious how everyone at the table viewed each other's cards with such envy.

No. It was to show that he was insane. They had the same number and position (vice president) because it was an illusion in Patrick's mind. Half the men sitting at the table may not have been real. They could have just been his alters. Quite Possible Paul Allen was a total hallucination too.

No. The number on the card is almost certainly the company directory number for the company they work at. When you call that number, you are then asked where you want your call directed. That call most often would be referred to a secretary and then to the executive. Big companies avoid having just anyone direct-dial higher executives. Also, large companies have sometimes 20 or 30 Vice Presidents! One more thing, those men in the room are most definitely real. This “it’s all in his head” nonsense is perpetually tiring. Especially with the source material being available n all. I would recommend checking it out! Unless you have a weak stomach, that is.
