The worst of the Brosnan films

Not so much because of Christmas Jones, who is no worse than previous Bond girls: Goodnight in Man with the Golden Gun, Gloria Hendry in Live and Let die or Stacey Sutton in View to a Kill...It's the weak villains and the uneven story imho. Die Another day is only slightly better.

If I had to rank the Brosnan films best to worse:

1. Tomorrow Never Dies (9)
2. Goldeneye (8)
3. Die Another day (6.5)
4. The World is not Enough (6)

I'd go:-
Die Another Day
Or maybe
Tomorrow Never Dies
Then
Goldeneye
then
The World Is Not Enough

I know a lot of people rave about Goldeneye but it has a bit too much of a The Living Daylights whiff about it for my taste. The other two are simply more fun to watch.

But yes, this one is definitely the worst with very little rewatch value...

I'd rank them as:

1. Goldeneye (7)
2. The World is Not Enough (6)
3. Die Another Day (6)
4. Tomorrow Never Dies (5)

I think Goldeneye is genuinely good, and it's no surprise it spawned a very popular videogame for its time. It also helped that Famke Jensen woke me up to a new fetish.

The others are silly but watchable, thanks especially to the hot women and how over-the-top they were, though I actually liked the Robert Carlyle as the badguy in World Is Not Enough, and I especially liked its musical number. And despite the score I gave it, The World Is Not Enough also holds a special place in my heart since it was the first James Bond I watched.

Tommorow Never Dies was the only Brosnan movie I didn't really care for. The women weren't that hot (sorry Michelle Yeoh and Teri Hatcher), and the villain was boring (sorry Jonathan Pryce).

1. GoldenEye (11/10)

2a. The World Is Not Enough (1999) - 7.5/10
2b. Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) - 7.5/10

?. Die Another Day (2002) - TBA/10

I'm due a rewatch of DAD, so my rankings my change come tomorrow. GoldenEye is the G.O.A.T with the two following Brosnan sequels being good fun films. DAD is a bit of blur at the moment.
