Shouldn't it be called 'I Still know What You Did 2 Summers Ago'

I mean, this movie takes place 2 years after so its not really 'last summer' . didn't anyone ever think of this before? I mean it doesn't even make any kind of logical sense, ts like the title was thought of by an idiot who had no basic knowledge of the past and present tense.

Probably because "I Still Know What You Did 2 Summers Ago" would have been too much of a mouthful to keep on pronouncing, sometimes movies with an easier title to pronounce are more appealing to mainstream movie-goers.

Does anyone remember that awesome Mad TV skit with the alternative names for the movie?

They were like....

I got too drunk and forgot what you did last summer
I really don't care anymore what you did last summer
And who gives a **** what you did last summer

Oz: Our lives are different from other people's.
- Graduation Day Part 1

Well it could still be the actual "last" summer. Remember, they "killed" him again on the boat and then they lied to the police about not knowing why he was stalking them. Maybe he's over the first murder and pissed about the recent one.

^Sounds legit to me.

You're the girl for me Brooke Davis & Its you Peyton, its always been you.

They could just have simply shortened it to "I Still Know What You Did" or "I Still Know" :/

reply

Or, "I Still Know What You Did The Summer Before Last."

Not sure how I got to this thread, but for some reason I forgot this had to be the dumbest movie title know to man.

Or: I’ll Never Forget

reply

And they could not think of “I Still Know,” because that was just too fucking hard.

This movie is referencing LAST SUMMER when they killed the guy on the boat. It should have been titled 'I Know What You Did Last Summer Vol. 2' or something but oh well, lazy producers.

I Know What You Did Last Summer...Again.

Could be called: I Know What You Did That Summer

agreed.

reply

No, it still works, because now the title can be referencing the events of the previous summer, the first movie's events
