How bad does it have to be in Hollywood to reboot Twister??? I mean, the lack of originality, talent, and motivation are astounding.
You could make ANY tornado film, with ANY plot at your disposal...but the easiest way, of course, is Hollywood saying “eh, let’s just “reboot” Twister.” It’s laughable.
Just make a different movie about tornadoes...why does it even need to be a reboot? Bunch of hacks.
If they made a movie with a different plot about tornados, people would still just say it’s a ripoff of Twister. So they might as well just take advantage of that brand recognition “Twister” has and reboot it.
shareSeems completely unnecessary to reboot Twister. They could have come up with a new, original idea. I don't think Joseph Kosinski is the best choice to direct. They should have got a better director.

They have tunnel vision. They know Twister was a huge success, therefore, the only possibility for a new disaster film about tornadoes must be a remake of that film. There can be no other path forward. I guess.
My requests for any new movie based off of Twister would be to find a good rock band to redo "Humans Being" and find a way to bring back Helen Hunt. She could be a retired storm chaser in the Aunt Meg role.
