This movie is by far the superior one.

Yeah this one was more of a thriller for kids. I rented it about a thousand times growing up and some parts always freaked me out.

I agree. It nailed the seriousness and humor perfectly. I recently watched Jumanji the Next Level and was surprised by how much vulgar language was in it. I don't remember Welcome to the Jungle being like that, maybe it was. Obviously it doesn't matter for adults, but I assumed it was geared towards kids and they kind of shut out a big market. I enjoy all 3 films, but 1995 is still the best and holds up really well.

I agree. It's a shame my oldest niece and nephew who are about 12 and 13 hated the original when I made them watch it and insist the new ones are better.

At least they didn't ignore this one in Johnson's movies.
