The social-ness, fashion, attitude and spoiled teens just left me with a sour taste albeit it's still watchable if only for Brittany Murphy. Her laughter is memorable.

shareI stand with the ones not agreeing with the OP. Time capsule for sure, but teen life has been the same for as long as teens have had their own culture.

shareIt was pretty dated at the time of release. Perhaps it's a California thing, but it seemed old back in the 90's to me. That's just my opinion.
Wrong. It's definutely a 90s time capsule, but the story itself is timeless. Also, a lot of the fashion has made a comeback.
