Is this movie in the same universe as Reservoir Dogs?

Is this movie in the same universe as Reservoir Dogs? If it is, it would mean Mr Orange has a twin brother, who talks with a British accent for some reason. If it isn't, it would mean Vic and Vincent Vega aren't related.

reply

Same universe. The resemblance is just a coincidence.

Both movies share multiple actors but they are in the same universe, as are most of QT's films.

To answer your question...yes. In fact for years Tarrantino said Vincent and Vic were indeed brothers and was going to make a prequel to both movies (Dogs and Fiction) about the Vega brothers. Don't know what stopped it.

reply

Yes, one of the many things Tarrantino yapped about but never finished writing. He also mentioned about a WWII film featuring the father of the Vega brothers too!

I'd loved to have seen both movies over Kill Bill, perhaps he thought continued use of the Vega family would be too gimmicky.

One of the main reason is that both actors got too old to do a prequel. After Pulp, Travolta had a lot of projects lined up and, of course, Tarantino had his own projects. It was probably a decade before all three of them got their schedules clear for a movie but it was too late by then.

thats exactly the thing that its up to the viewer to decide, same as whats in the case, but even more inconsequential
