Be that as it may, don't worry. Daniel will move on from Miranda and marry someone else, who is similar to him

It was hinted at twice in the movie; the first time is during the Aerosmith montage when Daniel was riding a bike with Nattie, Chris, and Lydia and then a young blonde jogger runs by them and Daniel not only looks her up and down, but he gives her a longing, love-struck stare and almost crashes his bike, [with Nattie on it! YIKES!] Then it happens again when he's by the pool [at the bar to be exact] and a blonde chick walks up to order soda with a lime in it which Daniel almost buys for her but she declined. Those scenes are meant to tell as that Daniel isn't dead in the water when it comes to finding new romance. They just didn't want to lose the plot; the main movie plot was man pretends to be a nanny so he can be with his own kids. If he falls in love with someone else and remarries halfway through that would detract from that and distract viewers, basically taking it in another direction. Those two scenes though brief just hint that he will move on. Meanwhile, the status of Miranda's is left up in the air though. After the dinner party, Stu isn't mentioned nor seen again so it's left up to interpretation even though the kids loved him as a stepfather and she knew him before she met Daniel and it's time for both Daniel and Miranda to move on; don't worry about Daniel growing old alone.

I don't think anyone was worried about Daniel.

Before Miranda threw him out, Daniel was a classic loser with no prospects for love other than a crack-addled stripper. Afterwards, he finally had a steady well paying job that looked like it was really going to expand (they were talking about syndication for his show), and more importantly, finally realized how his childish behavior drove away the love of his life and the mother of his children.

By the end of the film, Daniel had options for sure.

Well, some people have mentioned that it's a bit cold for Miranda to start dating Stu even though he was someone she was familiar and warm with, not a random sleaze and he was an incredibly good person and they worry that Daniel will never have anyone else again ever; even though it's clearly hinted that he will move on from her. I just thought I'd explain why.

If he moved on from Miranda who is now dating Stu, he could start dating Sandy Lester from Tootsie (played by Teri Garr who is also a comedian like Robin Williams) who used to date Michael Dorsey/Dorothy Michaels (played by Dustin Hoffman) who is now dating Julie Nichols (played by Jessica Lange).

He'll have no problem finding a new partner when he's ready.

With his fun, lively, and confident persona, I'm sure most women would love to date a guy like him. He just needs to maintain a stable lifestyle and take things seriously when necessary in order to maintain said relationship - which he did learn to do throughout the movie.

You're right that Daniel won't have any trouble finding someone new, although he may have trouble keeping her once he's got her!

But he will NOT marry someone like himself, because the one people like Daniel need is... an audience!

Daniel would definitely have no trouble getting dates, and possibly even remarried. He's a charming guy who knows how to make a woman laugh and is great with his kids. And now add in that he has a hit tv show, but isn't super recognizable for it yet, and probably making good money, he's going to do fine when he wants to start dating.

Whether it last or not depends on if he learned anything from his marriage falling apart or from what Miranda talked to him about when he was in disguise. If he understands that he needs to be a mature adult in a relationship and take things seriously at the right times, then he could have a long happy second marriage. If he doesn't, then all his subsequent relationships will fail much faster than his marriage to Miranda did.

It's kind of implied that Daniel did learn from his experience and finally grew up. He'll be fine and he'll be a better *father* to his children and probably a good friend with Miranda.
