Do you think they ended up getting back together?

It seemed like it was up for open interpretation, but what do you think? I feel like at the end of the movie she really started to like him again.

If I was Daniel, I wouldn't touch that heartless bitch ever again, stabbing him in the back like that... OVER NOTHING. If he cheated on her or beat her, I could see her anger. But she was too much of a control freak.

Get off your soapbox while I play you a tune on the tiniest violin.

I guess it it is a good thing you are not Daniel, but i would seriously doubt that they did, they were much better people when they weren't married to each other, and most of the time Miranda never seemed to be happy in the same room as Daniel expect for the entire time that she din't even know that her beloved housekeeper Mrs. Doutbfire was really him in disguise.

reply

I honestly don't think Daniel wanted her back around the last half of the movie. He realized just how much he didn't love her himself, almost like he was waking up. I also feel Miranda is a terrible person so I'm a bit biased in also hoping he goes no where near her again.

I'm pretty sure from the moment the divorce was settled, Daniel's main mission was to gain shared custody with his children, not to win Miranda back. While he may have been shocked and upset at the beginning when Miranda confessed she wanted a divorce, deep down he probably knew that was the right decision, based on their obvious differences.

reply

It is anybody guess including yours and mine, but i would think that they would be better off not getting back together then getting back together

reply

No, I think they did remain friends but that's about it.

reply

Hell no.

She was miss goody too shoes who wanted a perfect hubby and he was def not it. He was very to a point childish and wanted to be wild 24/7. At first she was right but thru the movie it evolves to the point where he is the way more likeable parent of the two and by the end he has the leverage finally.

I see them getting re-married to other people but by the end they had 100% respect for each other. She finally realized how much personal hell he went thru, and he realized what she was saying for all that time.

reply

Doubt it. At the very most, they probably still loved each other as friends but they weren't IN LOVE with each other. They just weren't meant to be.

Miranda was too judgement and up-tight for him. Daniel was too much of a goofball for her. That's life I guess 😐

reply

Miranda said that they had grown apart. Daniel was immature when they were married. He never helped around the house and was a horrible provider.

But, he really came around later. By cleaning up his act, he might be more acceptable to Miranda and they might get together.

reply

Even when I first watched this movie as a kid, I knew that they would never get back together.
It was enough of a progress, that Miranda let Daniel be a father to the kids without being in disguise.
Really, it seems to me that they grew apart and gradually became two extremes on the funny/serious spectrum.
And it would be extremely hard for them to return to where they started before they got married.

reply

Not at all. After Miranda and Daniel talked it out and Miranda had all the bans lifted, they ultimately decided that they were better as friends.

reply

Absolutely not! This was a nod for all kids whose parents got divorced to keep their heads above water!
