One of the most underrated films I can think of

This film has everything: An original story, comedy, action, suspense, memorable characters, killer dialogue, good actors/acting, tremendous score, tight pacing/editing, great direction, great setting.

I checked the box office for this movie and it made 14 million. 14 million! Why do the $hittiest movies you can imagine nowadays make a fortune and hidden gems like this bomb (and by all accounts get forgotten)?

I swear from the mid 70s through to the early 90s, Hollywood made the most unique and entertaining movies it will ever produce. Toy Soldiers is a symbol of that special era.

Buckle up back there, we're going into... hyperactive

I agree! One of my all-time favorite movies can.

I totally agree

It’s basically Die Hard In A School but it’s handled well with plenty of setup and good characters.

Hollywood is too busy cranking out woke crap or mega-budget spectaculars to make decent mid-budget thrillers like this. It’s a shame. Hopefully Netflix or Amazon could bankroll more stuff like this for their platforms.

This was one of my favorite movies growing up! That's crazy it only made 14 million!! I haven't thought about this movie in a long time, thanks for reminding me about it!!

I agree with you about woke shit.
Every movie seems has a meaningful lesson.
YAWN!!!!

reply

Yeah, except the lessons aren’t ‘meaningful’, they’re crude attempts to program you with racist, sexist identity politics.

And ironically it has the opposite effect on anyone with two brain cells to rub together.

Years of YASS QWEEEN and rainbow flags slapped on everything but diapers and reports have found acceptance of LGBT has gone down for the first time in years. (Now, if they asked just about acceptance for gays and lesbians it’d be a different story, I wager.)

Watched it today and loved it
