From what I remember #2 had a subplot where the family was stuck in a hotel because it was constantly raining in Miami. If so, that is pretty stupid.

I also remember a pigeon lady that in the end saved the day..in a wide, sweeping shot in Central Park.

1 because it was more fresh & original, I thought the burglars were funnier in the 1st one as well, the only thing what improves in the sequel are the booby traps.

It's hard to say, I love both films. Truth be told, the sequel is basically the same storyline, they just put it in New York City and made the traps bigger. That, and they added more drama.

1 is better, hands down.
