Hate Jerry's parents.

I should say I hate almost all the episodes involving Jerry's parents. The humor is not funny to me. The fact they don't want Jerry to pay for anything and the interaction. The only episode I half like is when they reveal their distain for the Costanzas.

I know Jerry is targeting his experience with older retired Jewish New Yorkers living in Florida. Their quirks and foibles. The Jewish mother syndrome etc. Just not very funny to me and their presence in an episode takes away what is really funny about the show.

I especially hate the character of Jack Klompus who is tied to them. I guess you are supposed to hate him that is the idea. He is a jerk but he is so irritating and infuriating he makes it worse.

I find it odd that in a season 1 episode where his parents are introduced, his father is played by a different actor and acts completely different from the later episodes. He acts like a calm kind man. Then they recasted him and turned him into a bitter grumpy man. It's weird.

Seriously, go watch the season 1 episode the stake out and then watch the season 2 episode The Pony Remark and you will see what I mean.

We have to remember that these people are not that old. They are in their 60s.

Middle class Jewish people in their 60s with the means to retire in Florida are more intelligent and less silly then that. These are not senile nursing home people.

Jerry's parents were great. It was George's parents who were awful.

I like Jerry's and George's parents, and Elaine's father, played by the great Lawrence Tierney.

The mother was bearable but the father was annoying and unfunny.

I liked when George tried to mug them and her reaction is "you're being very rude". 🤣

Morty was the best, remember when he wanted a nephew to write him a doctor's note even though he was still an intern, and his feud with Klompus. I love when he went to work for Elaine, whose Mr. Fancy?
My favourite is when he offers to make a few phone calls because Devola was bothering Jerry.
