Was Seinfeld the first sitcom to have people casually dating?

On Seinfeld, the main characters all casually dated.... for the most part. Eventually George did get married.

Was this the first sitcom to show people casually dating?

george never married, not sure about the casually dating though, although i do remember jack dating multiple women on threes company...

You're right. I misspoke. George only got engaged, he was never legally married.

Brady Bunch had Marcia and Greg both casually dating, also Alice with Sam. The Munsters had Marilyn. They predate this by several decades.
