Tim Burton Blasts Warner Bros. For Bringing Back His Batman & Superman

Tim Burton comments on "The Flash" using his versions of Batman and Superman among the film's various DC cameos and homages.

I wonder what a Burton directed Flash wouldve been like, a supporting role for Cage Superman (instead of supergirl?), maybe Michelle Pfeiffer, and some cameos from other actors had he done his 3rd & 4th Bat films (BDW/TwoFace, Robin Williams deepfake/Riddler, Patrick Stewart/Freeze, Demi Moore/PoisonIvy, Winona Ryder/Batgirl) either in flashback or Arkham scenes. and obviously overall alot more 'Burtony' in looks/aesthetic, plus Danny Elfman

He doesn't own the characters, he doesn't own the films. As he says, 'they can do whatever they want'. And they did.

Him, like anyone else who works on a studio movie, is an employee. He owns nothing. His “art” was probably more someone else’s art anyway (batsuit design, Batmobile design, Keaton’s interpretation of Bruce Wayne).

I don’t see why he would have an issue here.

reply

I would consider it a compliment.
