Almost perfect, if not for this one stupid plot point...

It was really corny that instead of law enforcement thinking that the main characters were making up stories about the blob (like in the first movie), it actually thought that that Brian was murdering its victims.

reply

the sheriff never actually thought that, they brought him in for questioning because he was there at the scene, and shortly released him

Cops are always dumb in horror movies

real life, too

Screw you too.

reply

Correct. It seemed like it was the deputy who had the axe to grind.

I did like it though that when Dr. Meddows ordered one of his soldiers to shoot Brian, the deputy immediately switched from aiming at Brian to aiming at the soldier and telling him to put down his weapon. He might not like Brian, and think he's just another juvenile delinquent who'll never amount to anything, but he's not going to let him be gunned down in cold blood. It also showed he had sense enough not to completely discount Brian's story, especially in light of what he'd already seen, and was starting to figure out that Meddows and his team maybe weren't the good guys.

reply

I liked that too, since it showed he wasn't just a caricature.
