I never really liked this movie

I'm surprised that according to Robert Englund this seems like the fan favorite. Freddy had some great moments but I didn't like the dream team, the way Nancy was used, her death was lame and also Saxon got a disappointing death. I would put this close to the bottom on my list.

Anyone else agree or am I missing something?

I watched a review once that hit it right on the head. Dream Warriors is a great movie until Nancy shows up on screen then it just becomes a dumb kids fantasy movie with a few cool parts scattered here and there

I enjoyed the third one, though didn't think it was flawless.

I enjoyed that it was the last one that tried to make Freddy dark. In later ones he became more wise-cracking fun guy. I say tried because towards the end, I did feel it become more campy. The Dream Warriors giving themselves powers like wanting to be a wizard and wanting to be beautiful and bad seems really cheesy now. I was a child when this movie came out and wasn't allowed to see it, but looking at it as an adult they seem goofy rather than bad-ass. Maybe it's just dated. The Freddy turning into a massive worm-head, or whatever he was supposed to be was a bit naff.

Freddy had more lines in this movie than in the original, and it did feel like they were shifting him towards being the comedian he later became. Saying that, some of the jokes were legitimately hilarious. The "I said where's the f***-ing bourbon?" bit and the Zsa Zsa Gabor "Who gives a f*** what you think?" bits made me laugh when I first saw the movie. The TV death shortly after was probably a bit OTT, but then this one obviously had more of a budget than the first one and so they could go to town more on the deaths. Sometimes it worked, sometimes in didn't I guess.

I quite enjoyed this one. It felt like a decent sequel to the first one. Still with the same feeling as the first, but in a bigger way. The second one wasn't quite as good. They could've skipped that, or had it later in the series and gone straight into the third movie and it would've felt better.

And though I liked some of the campy Freddy movies too, others didn't quite work. I can see why this one was highly regarded.

it makes for a good trilogy ender. but it's not as good as the first 2.

I thought it was pretty enjoyable.
