I hate it when movies claim its based on facts then you cant find any info

It was based on a true story. The names and country Matrix invaded though was changed. In the real life account, it happened somewhere in Eastern Europe with the Communists. From what I heard, the shoot out at the end actually happened exactly like what was portrayed at the end

OP, Commando is NOT a true story WHATSOEVER. I'm surprised it even made the claims as you suggest.

Matrix really did promise to kill Sully last, the dialogue used in the movie is 100% factual.

It was another of Frank Dux's adventures. The names where changed though.
