Julie McCullough was ADORABLE!

Julie McCullough was adorable and should never have been written of this show!

reply

she was adorable, but her dark bush was a huge turn off. bleach that muff

her being written off the show was hypocrisyh at it's worst. the excuse was because she appeared in Playboy while working on the show. but she appeared nude in Playboy in 1985 but didn't join the cast till 89. she did appear in Playboy after that but if she was good enough to join the show after appearing in Playboy, a re-appearance was not important. the truth is Kirk wanted to get rid of her so his girlfriend could be on the show. such a good christain. not.

I'm glad to see someone else sees it for what it was. He had her fired to get his girlfriend a job. Thing I find funny about it was that despite being together in real life Kirk and Chelsea have no onscreen chemistry at all. I think that's one of the things that led to the show's rapid decline.

I believe Playboy ran a pictorial of Julie in 1989 in response to her fame on the show with old photos from 1985. At the time, Playboy took several pictorials of the centerfolds and ran with one in the magazine while extra photos were used in the Newstand specials or run a pictorial of the several years later.

reply

You are correct. They created a new article with unused photos from her first shoot to take advantage of the fact that she was on Growing Pains.

reply

The perfect 80's girlfriend.

reply

Perfect girl next door.

reply

Yeah, Julie was the best thing to happen to this show. I pretty much stopped watching after she left.

reply

I remember her Playboy layout.
