with the sheer amount of belated sequels to 80s movies (MadMax4, TFA, BR2049, TopGun2, Shining 2 etc) and retro 80s set movies (Terminator Genisys, XMen Apocalypse, It, Ready Player 1, Bumblebee, WonderWoman1984) and even a return of 80s style sword & sorcery movies (Thor Ragnarok, Last Jedi, forthcoming HeMan reboot) plus the ever popular GOT ...who knows.. maybe a K2 is possible?!

reply

Yeah. Good luck with that. “Armie” Hammer is Box Office Death, and this idea is a jerkoff fantasy.

reply

I picked Hammer (and the rest) as he's a decent actor and would look the part who wouldn't cost 20 million so the budget could be kept in check and used for all the FX, sets, locations etc.

been thinking about Liam Neeson returning in K2 as hes just too big a name involved with Krull not to use again somehow even though his character died. Hmm..ok Kegan died near the end in the black fortress right? so he could be bought back somehow... e.g. the big villain (say another Beast) assumes dead Kegans form (like the way The Beast assumed different forms Colwyn etc so in keeping with that) so basically Liam would be the villain for the majority of the movie (could even CG deage him to 1983 age) until the Beast-alike gets revealed at the end.

Followed by:

Krull 3: The Last Fortress
Krull 4: The Rise of Colwyn

Not happening.

Ok

Is this the most never thought about it before and now I can't live without it idea of all time?

Bozo, you're a genius!

reply

Its possible 😊

reply

Honestly, Krull was good enough to deserve a bunch of crappy direct to video sequels.

reply

Thats an idea. I guess in todays streaming world it could get a $100m Netflix series like Dark Crystal (who'd have ever thought that would get a sequel prequel whatever it was)

reply

i wish but not armie hammer

reply

I'll switch Armie for Hemsworth
